Swimathon Weekend

Speedo are thrilled to announce they are the Official Partner and proud supporters of the Swimathon Weekend 2012, the world’s biggest fundraising swim, which takes place 27-29 April in 645 pools across the UK.

In its 25th year, the event has joined forces with British Swimming’s and the BBC’s Big Splash, Marie Curie Cancer Care and Sport Relief to hold possibly the biggest swimming event ever. It’s a chance for water lovers up and down the UK to dive in and raise vital funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care through Swimathon’s established 5k, 2.5k or Team 5k Distance Challenges, or new ‘Big Splash Mile for Sport Relief’. As part of Speedo’s purpose of “inspiring people to swim”, the Swimathon Weekend 2012 provides an opportunity not only to encourage and motivate people to take part in this swimming challenge, but to support great charities and help transform lives.
